With a primary education in couples and family therapy, I’ve worked with men and women, couples and families, in brief and longer-term counselling for more than 20 years.
I’m a registered member of the B.C. Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), and have served as one of the BCACC vice-presidents on Vancouver Island and on its Board of Directors.
I’ve supervised clinical staff, developed therapeutic programs, and worked in addiction treatment centres – both with inpatients and their family members, including children whose parent or family member is struggling with addiction.
More recently, I completed a 3-year training program in Somatic Experiencing®, which is body-centred and can be very effective in the treatment of trauma.
There’s a wonderful saying in recovery circles: You alone can do it, but you can’t do it alone.
Whatever you are going through,
I’d be grateful to be your companion and guide on your path to healing.
